ECONOMIC RESEARCH GROUP

MEETING

April 21, 2010

The Chairman opened the meeting at noon with 25 members in attendance. Six members were absent; two were in the hospital and four unaccounted for.  After special announcements, lunch was served.

Chairman Levinson introduced the guest speaker Kurt Brouwer who has been a long term investment advisor for Mort. Mr. Brouwer spoke on the need for individuals to have long term goals and to have those goals updated on a regular basis. Whether goals are in search of income or growth, market forces change rapidly and individuals rarely have the resources to respond quickly enough to adjust portfolios. In most cases it is advised to have some degree of financial help. Mr. Brouwer’s aids passed out literature telling about the firm of Brouwer and Janachowski LLC and their activities.

Mr. Brouwer answered questions after the presentation.

Our next meeting will be held on May 19th at the Crystal Springs Golf Course. The menu selection will be Mahi Mahi or Chicken Marsala.
