Duties of the Speaker Chairman

    1. The Speaker Chairman will plan to give a 20 minute talk on a subject of his choosing, and within the guidelines set forth by the Economic Research Group. He may have an outside speaker give the presentation.

    2.  The Speaker Chairman should have his program prepared at least 30 days before the meeting date, and notify the Group Chairman of the subject matter so that the information can be posted on the Website.

    3.  The Speaker Chairman will be introduced by the Chairman of the Day, after the general business of the group has been completed and everyone is finished their lunch.

    4.  Following the presentation, the speaker will respond to questions from the audience for about 10 minutes. After the question and answer period, the meeting will be turned back to the Chairman of the Day for any further announcements and for adjournment.

    5.  Should the Speaker Chairman select an outside speaker, he should notify the Group Chairman of his intent and what the topic will be for approval.

    6.  After notice is given and approval received for having a Guest Speaker, the Speaker Chairman should obtain a resume from the speaker in order to give a proper introduction at the meeting. He will also inform the Group Chairman as to the Guest Speaker's menu selection.

    7.  At the end of the Guest's presentation, the Speaker Chairman will ask for questions and comments.

    8.  After the question and answer period, the Speaker Chairman will turn the meeting back to the Chairman of the Day after extending our appreciation to the guest.

    9.  The Speaker Chairman will send a letter of appreciation to the Guest Speaker within 3 days of the presentation, thanking him or her for the presentation.
