Sunset Western Garden Book –new January 2007 edition John Chiapelone indicated that it was an excellent revision of the 2001 issue, including photography, updated information, more emphasis on vegetables, etc, and said that Costco was the best place to buy it, for about $25.
John also said that although some of the nurserymen producing seedling flowers have gone out of business, Kawahara a good producer is still in business, and Home Depot currently carrying this line of very good plants. Call Wegman’s and see who their supplier is.
The owner of Regan’s in Fremont died, and the current operation is no longer comparable to earlier good recommendations.
