    The Ladies Day Luncheon Committee Chairman makes all the arrangements for the Ladies Day Luncheon which is held on the second Wednesday of a month in the spring of the year, usually either May or June. The luncheon is sometimes held at some special place other than the San Mateo Elks Club, such as Green Hills Country Club in Millbrae. All of the members of SIRs are invited including their wives or special guest.

    The chairman prepares special flyers for this special event and has them available to all those who are interested at the General Luncheon Meeting several months before the event. The chairman excepts reservations for this event at this time, along with payment, until the event is sold out. This is an extremely popular event, so it is important that the member's reservations are in as early as possible. Members can reserve an entire table for himself and other members of SIR if he so wishes. The Reservation Form along with instructions for payment and choice of meal, is on the flyer that the chairman hands out.

    The chairman also arranges to have special prizes awarded to the ladies by means of a drawing at this event, most of which have been donated by merchants from the surrounding area. There will also be some cash prizes.
